BBC micro:bit

The BBC micro:bit is a hand-held, fully programmable computer being distributed to schools across the UK and can enthuse children about computer programming.


The BBC micro:bit has its own built-in Compass (so it knows which way it is going), Accelerometer (to sense actions such as shaking, tilting and free-fall), Internet and Bluetooth Connectivity and 3 large connectors which can be used to control things or receive information from Sensors.


Control programs can be downloaded or users can write their own on their laptop or mobile phone and transfer them to the BBC micro:bit


The BBC micro:bit can be used for all sorts of applications, from robots to musical instruments – the possibilities are endless.
