Claw Hammers are most commonly used by Joiners for general construction work. The handles can be wooden (often hickory), GRP or steel with a rubber grip.

Uses

The claw is normally curved, and incorporates a 'V' cut-out to draw nails from timber. The claw can be used to lever up floorboards or where other places where a lever is required. Popular head weights are between 455-680g (16 to 24oz)

Note: Place scrap wood packing under the claw to protect the surface of timber or to improve the leverage when longer nails are being extracted.
