DT Online aims to provide a resource free at the point of use for all who are involved with Design and Technology education.


Recommendations with regard to the choices of tools and processes are given on the basis of many years practice by experienced and qualifed D&T professionals but ultimately all users must make their own judgements on their suitability for the task in hand and their personal capabilities when using them.


Whilst advice provided by DT Online may provide a useful and informed contribution to the creation of any locally enforced guidance with regard to safe practice, it should not should not be used to over-ride it. Additionally, DT Online will always defer to the latest advice provided by "BS 4163:2014 Health and safety for design and technology in educational and similar establishments. Code of practice"
