The Kaleidoscope is simply a tube with two or three mirrors running lengthwise down the inside. One end is covered with clear glass or plastics and the other is frosted or semi-opaque. Inside the tube are some loose coloured shapes of paper, plastics or glass, and it is the reflections of these which makes the interesting and complex patterns.
