Machine Vice

Machine Vices are used to hold work firmly when using a Drilling Machine or Milling Machine. They can be clamped or bolted firmly to the bed of the machine or, for smaller work, may be held down by hand.

Safety Point! Holding metal with bare hands whilst using a drilling machine is VERY DANGEROUS since the drill can grab and spin the metal when it breaks through.

Machine vices with swivel and tilting bases are available.
