Tinsnips or Shears are used to cut thin sheet metal. Smaller versions are called Jewellers' Snips. Both are available with straight blades and also curved blades for cutting round concave shapes.

Aviation Snips have a compound action to increase leverage. They can be used for straight cuts and also cut round a curve.
