Bar Clamps (or F Clamps) are used for similar purposes as a G Cramp or Sash Cramp.
They are of generally lighter construction. Many designs have quick adjust and quick release mechanisms and some can be operated single-handedly because of a ratchet mechanism used to tighten them.
