Description
Engraving is the practice of incising a design on to a hard, usually flat surface, by cutting grooves into it. It can be used just to apply surface decoration or to make printing plates and blocks
Safety Point! Notice the engraver's hand is placed well away but it is better if you can always have your hand behind the cutting edge of any sharp tools!
