Description

Repoussé Hammers (aka Chasing Hammers) are small, lightweight hammers with one flat face and one round end.

Features and Uses

The well-balanced hardwood Repoussé Hammer handles are shaped to sit comfortably in the palm of the hand, and their narrow necks allow more bounce-back which reduces strain, when repeatedly striking light blows with Repoussé and Chasing Punches to produce the decorative designs.

Repoussé Hammers can be used also for both planishing and the large flat surface lowers the risk of marking or damaging the workpiece by striking it with the edge of the face. They can be used together with a Doming Block, small Anvil or Sand Bag to form metal into complex shapes and the ball pein can be used for light riveting.
