Three Point Perspective
From DT Online
In both Single Point and Two Point Perspective, all lines which are vertical in reality, remain vertical on the drawing.
In Three Point Perspective vertical lines appear to meet at their own third Vanishing Point.
Three Point Perspective is very good for viewing tall buildings. Also, very dramatic effects can be created with unusual positioning of the Eye Line!
Note: Three Point Perspective can be used with even quite small objects to create dramatic effects.
In this Oblique or Parallel view of a block of flats, the Vanishing Point is positioned above the Central Vanishing Point (CVP)
This overhead view of Raglan Castle can be achieved by placing the Vanishing Point below the Horizon or Eye Line.
