Perspective is the technique of representing 3D objects on a sheet of 2D paper for example.
Characteristically, objects which are further away tend to appear smaller and closer together (and colours appear more feint). Lines going away from the observer appear to converge on the horizon (e.g. like railway lines appear to do).
There follows activities to help understanding of what is meant by perspective and to learn some of the basic construction techniques.
