The carcase and internal shelves are manufactured from high density Chipboard faced on both sides with either wood grain or white laminate. This surface has been tested and given the FIRA (the furniture industry‘s independent research body) Gold award. To reach this standard it must prove resistant to all common stains and even toilet cleaner and acetone.

The doors can be either made from the same material as the carcase or from solid wood. In either case the door thickness is usually 18mm.

The units can be purchased in either self assembly form, where Dowel and CamLock constructions are often used, or as rigid units ready to hang.

The doors are mounted on 3-way adjustable Concealed Hinges.
