Tool choice is personal. It is recognised that there are circumstances, such as a one-off task, where the tool used may even be disposable but the general advice from DT Online is always to buy the best you can afford and treat them properly. Good tools will serve you well and may last a lifetime (the author from time to time still uses tools once owned by his grandfather and in doing so, recalls fond memories from his childhood!)
